Heartland Film has announced the exciting addition of a Conner Prairie Pop-Up Drive-In Theatre to its list of drive-in events scheduled for the 2020 Heartland International Film Festival October 8-18.
“Indy’s favorite fall traditions are finally uniting!” said Heartland Film President Craig Prater. “I can’t think of a more fitting location to safely experience independent film’s best in the ‘heartland’ than being surrounded by the changing leaves at the historic Conner Prairie.”
The pop-up drive-in theatre will host two films a night in Conner Prairie’s main parking lot on October 12, 13, and 14. Each evening will showcase a different theme.
As with the Indy Shorts International Film Festival this summer, viewers were able to participate in the festival virtually and at Tibbs Drive-In Theatre, but the Conner Prairie Pop-Up will make the festival more easily accessible to audiences on the north side of Indy.
“Conner Prairie understands the challenges our community has faced over the last few months and we are thrilled to be able to partner with Heartland Film for this unique experience!” said Norman Burns, President and CEO of Conner Prairie. “We look forward to being able to offer our guests an opportunity to gather together safely, outside of their homes while enjoying some of the best feature films selected for Heartland Film Festival this year.”
The full film line-up will be released on Thursday, September 17, but Fest Passes and Conner Prairie ticket packs can be pre-purchased at HeartlandFilmFestival.org.
